Republic Polytechnic (RP)-IPRS Student Chapter
Republic Polytechnic (RP)-IPRS Student Chapter

The RP-IPRS Student Chapter comprises students from the Diploma of Mass Communication (DMC) of Republic Polytechnic’s School of Management and Communication. The close to 350-strong Student Chapter is made up of student members from the various cohorts of the diploma.
The diploma helps students build a strong foundation across multiple media platforms including digital, print and broadcast. It equips students with the skills to tailor messages that reach specific target audiences groups for maximum impact.
DMC students are immersed in a fast-paced media-driven communications environment where digital and traditional media converge, through curriculum and industry projects. The Media Lab, DMC’s integrated multimedia news and integrated marketing communications facility, provides students with the platform to apply knowledge to practice.
This further complements Republic Polytechnic’s unique Problem-Based Learning pedagogy which trains students to be effective solution providers and collaborators, cultivating in the process the curiosity for self-directed learning. Students have the opportunity to develop their own social media and digital content, videos and public relations campaigns using state-of-the-art equipment and facilities.
