Ngee Ann Polytechnic (NP)

Established in 1989, the School of Film & Media Studies (FMS) is known for its pioneering work in media education. It was the first tertiary institution in Singapore to offer a full-time Diploma in Mass Communication (MCM), which has gone on to become one of the most popular diploma courses in Singapore.

In 1993, the School started its Diploma in Film, Sound & Video (FSV). FMS launched the Diploma in Digital Visual Effects (DVFX) in 2007 – now known as Visual Effects (VFX). In 2009, FMS launched the Diploma in Advertising & Public Relations.

Some of our graduates include radio deejays and personalities Jean Danker and Justin Ang, actor/director Alaric Tay, and international award-winning filmmakers Anthony Chen and Boo Junfeng.
