
The role
That Marketing Guy is looking for a passionate communicator and media maven who enjoys seeing their work published as headlines and working with key opinion leaders to shape and drive brand narratives.As an Associate/Senior Associate, you can look forward to opportunities to work alongside a creative and supportive team to strategise, plan and execute engaging integrated marketing campaigns for well-known brands that reach millions - all while helping our clients fulfil their business goals.You’ll be expected to work independently and proactively to:
- Create and execute communications strategies using an earned-first, paid-supplemented approach
- Provide earned/paid media counsel to clients and consult internally on PR best practices
- Craft and distribute media invites, pitch notes, fact sheets, press releases and handle media enquiries
- You may also be required to create social media captions/content relating to media coverage/responses and handle other related writing tasks, such as bylines and advertorials
- Conceptualise, project manage and run point for media events
- Provide media training and spokespersons briefings whenever necessary
- Maintain positive media relationships with local media (dailies, trades, niche publications and KOLs)
- Manage third-party budgets for content partnerships (advertorials, KOLs) and press kits
- Compile, analyse and present media reports, including creating robust measurement frameworks like AEV/EMV
- - Handle all tasks meticulously and carefully
The ideal candidate:
- - Understands how Public Relations and communications fit within the broader marketing framework
- - Always has the bigger picture in mind, and is able to work towards achieving that through incremental steps
- - Is confident and articulate in presenting their work and answering tough questions
- - Familiar with KOLs in the local scene
- - Has commercial sense in terms of drafting/reviewing terms for content partnerships/KOL engagements
- - Has their pulse on the latest consumer industry insights relevant to our clients
- - Has prior experience (1-3 years) of independently handling end-to-end performance campaigns for multiple brands
Agency-side experience is preferred, but necessary.
