Robert has been a PR practitioner for about three decades. He is the Founder/Director of a boutique PR consultancy, MAJIC Communications which was established in 2000 and offers Strategic Communications, Media Relations and Publicity, Crisis Communication and specialized Communication training. MAJIC Communications has provided consultancy services to a range of clients from the public (National Heritage Board, Singapore Philatelic Museum, Woodlands Community Club, Speak Good English Movement), corporate (Getz Bros., BAE Systems, Hawker Pacific, HOYA, ISS, Bombardier, CTM), and “not-for-profit” (Singapore Heart Foundation, Singapore Government Staff Credit Cooperative Society, Singapore Scouts Association, SAF Yacht Club) sectors.

Over past two decades, MAJIC Communication has developed and delivered well-received customized Communication/Media/Crisis Communication training/coaching for the C-suite, senior and middle managers, and for corporate communication and crisis management teams from the public, private and “not-for-profit” sectors – the Ministry of Education (MOE), MINDEF/SAF, the Home Team, 3M Singapore, Orica International, Merial, the National Healthcare Group (NHG), the Housing and Development Board (HDB), Alice Lee Centre for Nursing Studies, the Energy Market Authority (EMA), Singapore Customs, Singapore Polytechnic, NParks, Agri-Food and the Agri-Veterinary Authority of Singapore (AVA).

Robert has been a Senior Lecturer for PR and Communication-related subjects for the following tertiary institutions: Australia’s Newcastle University (UONS)/PSB Academy, Singapore Management University (SMU), Australia’s Curtin University, the Civil Service College (CSC), the Institute of Public Relations of Singapore (IPRS) and the Marketing Institute of Singapore (MIS).

Robert is currently serving in the IPRS Council 2019/2020 as the Immediate Past President, IPRS. He was conferred the “Lifetime PR Achievement Award” and “Fellow of the Institute of Public Relations of Singapore (FIPRS)“ by IPRS in 2015 and 2019, respectively. Robert was the Chair of the Judging Panel for Sport Singapore’s “Most Inspiring Sports Story of the Year” and the “Sports Journalist of the Year” Awards in 2017 and 2018, respectively.
