The coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak has evolved and rapidly escalated worldwide and is expected to continue for a year or even longer. Amid the outbreak, institutions and businesses have put in place practices and processes to help employees and stakeholders cope. How can (and should) PR practitioners step up to support their organisations navigate these uncertain times?

In conjunction with our Annual General Meeting, we are pleased to present a panel session featuring three IPRS Members who will share their experiences and their take on the need for effective communication in the battle against Covid-19.


Vincent Chong, Vice President, Operations, PSB Academy  – Vincent has a strong track record of almost 20 years in business functions spanning across strategic planning, quality assurance & regulatory compliance, and operations. Vincent is Vice President at PSB Academy overseeing corporate services functions including Organisation Development & Quality Assurance, among others. He spearheads PSBA’s CoVid-19 taskforce that manages stakeholder risk communications across the region.

Lars Voesdich, Managing Director & Principal Consultant, PRecious Communications  – Lars is an experienced global communications and business professional with 20 years of expertise in growing, managing and defending leading brands’ reputation from an in-house and agency perspective.  He started and runs PRecious Communications out of Singapore, a cross-Asian, integrated strategic communications consultancy that works with young brands and startups as well as global market leaders and government agencies. Based on his strong background in business development, holistic communications and team leadership, he drives impactful communications strategies that contribute to organizations’ and brands’ growth objectives.

Anirudh Sharma. Director, Communications & Development, Duke-NUS Medical School – A former Senior Correspondent, Ani has evolved as a strategic communications, marketing and development professional with many years of experience in Singapore, Middle-east and India. Besides transforming brand perceptions, managing reputation and building philanthropic endowments, his interests are in policies, mentoring and organizational culture development.


Marcus Loh, IPRS President – Marcus Loh was elected the President of IPRS in April 2019. Concurrently, he is serving as a Fellow in Singapore’s National Volunteers & Philanthropy Centre Company of Good, and an Adjunct Advisor at the Singapoee Management University-UOB Asian Enterprise Institute. Marcus brings with him over 15 years of experience in strategic communications, brand strategy and marketing. As the former-Director for Asia Pacific communication at Tableau Software (NYSE: DATA), Marcus headed public affairs, media and analyst relations, customer evidence, and executive communication for the company covering Japan, Australia, Greater China Region, Singapore / Southeast Asia, India, and South Korea. Tableau was acquired by Salesforce for US$15.7 billion in 2019 and its Asia Pacific operations has been the company’s fastest-growing presence.
