Southeast Asia’s first graduate diploma in public relations will be introduced jointly by IPRS and Singapore Management University (SMU). In conjunction with the launch of the Graduate Diploma in Public Relations (GDPR), a lunch talk was held at SMU on 13 April 2011.

During the talk which offered an exclusive preview of the two programmes for IPRS members, Dr Halff reported on the survey findings and shared more course information.

 

IPRS 41st Annual General Meeting - 31 March 2011View Photo Gallery 

The IPRS 41st Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2011 was held on 31 March 2011 at NUSS Suntec City Guild House. Mr Ng Wei Joo was re-elected IPRS Council President and Mr Stephen Forshaw the new Vice President for a two-year term from 2011-2013. A new Council was also elected in continuing efforts to rejuvenate the IPRS’ strategic direction and oversee its day-to-day operations. 

PRISM 2010View Photo Gallery 

On 14 May 2010, the 11th IPRS PRISM Awards was held at the Marina Bay Sands with 400 guests from PR consultancies, MNCs, public-listed and private companies, Government Ministries and Statutory Boards attending in merriment.

The PR gala night of the year also commemorated a milestone in IPRS’ history – our 40th anniversary.

PCP 2010View Photo Gallery 

IPRS organised a second run of the Professional Conversion Programme (PCP) for PR executives. It aims to build a pipeline of skilled workers to meet the immediate and long term requirements of the PR industry. Participants went through three weeks of intensive classroom lectures, role-plays, discussions, a dialogue session and visits to two PR consultancies, Weber Shandwick and Ogilvy PR, and Singapore Press Holdings (SPH).

IPRS organised many networking sessions in the year 2010 for members and non-members. These networking sessions provide participants with the platform to network and mingle around with professionals from the PR fraternity. It is also an event for participants to unwind and relax after a hard day’s work.

On 14 March 2008, the 10th IPRS PRISM Awards was held at the St. Regis Hotel with 450 guests from PR consultancies, MNCs, public-listed and private companies, Government Ministries and Statutory Boards attending in merriment.
