Employer's Eligibility Criteria

The following criteria are pre-requisites for all employers taking up the Creative Industries Apprenticeship Scheme (CIAS) - WSQ Place and Train (PnT) PR Apprenticeship Programme:

  • Must have had a communications division* for at least three (3) years;
  • If the sponsoring company is a new start-up, the Managing Director should have at least five (5) years of work experience at the managerial level;
  • The sponsoring employer shall execute a bond with the new hire(s) for seven (7) months from the start date of the WSQ PnT Programme and a subsequent seven (7) months for the new hire(s) to remain in employment after programme completion
  • Must ensure that the position(s) offered to the applicant(s) is/are communications-related*;
  • The sponsoring company must be financially sound and neither the company nor any of its directors must be bankrupt (or filing for bankruptcy);
  • The sponsoring company and its directors must have no criminal records.

These requirements are mandatory. The final decision to accept a sponsoring company into theWSQ PnT PR Apprenticeship Programmelies at the discretion of IPRS and WDA.
