Employee Eligibility Criteria

 

For new entrants in the PR industry (fresh graduates, career swtichers) or skills upgraders, who wish to apply for the WSQ Place and Train (PnT) PR Apprenticeship Programme, must meet the following criteria:

 

General Criteria:

 

  • Be Singapore Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident;
  • Have completed all industry bonds/Minimum Service Period (MSP) with any organisation/association/authority prior to being enrolled in the WSQ Place and Train (PnT) PR Apprenticeship Programme;
  • Have served and completed National Service (for male participants);
  • Must have at least a GCE ‘O’ level pass in English Language and must be able to demonstrate English Language proficiency;
  • Agree to be bonded to his/her sponsoring organisation for the seven (7) month duration of the WSQ PnT PR Apprenticeship Programme and for a subsequent seven (7) months after the completion of the WSQ PnT Programme;
  • Must not be a bankrupt;
  • Must have no criminal record.

 

Additional Criteria:

 

Fresh Entrants (applicable to the seven (7) month WSQ PnT PR Apprenticeship Programme):

  • Have at least a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in any discipline;
  • No work experience required.

 

Career Switchers (applicable to the seven (7) month WSQ PnT PR Apprenticeship Programme):

  • Minimum five years of working experience in industries not related to PR or PR-related roles.

 

Skills Upgraders (applicable to individual WSQ PnT Modular Course)

  • Have at least a GCE ‘A’ Level / Diploma qualification;
  • Minimum of one year work experience in current organization in a communications-related role.

 

These requirements are mandatory. The final decision to accept a participant into the WSQ PnT PR Apprenticeship Programmelies at the discretion of IPRS and WDA.
